Meet the Team - Jaydon Pfab


I am Jaydon Pfab, one of the seven developers on the Bugby team. I am hoping to one day be a part of a small indie team making video games for people to enjoy. When I’m not doing school or working, I am usually playing video games with my friends. Some of my favorites are Enter the Gungeon, League of Legends, and Monster Hunter World.


Broken Goblin Bones

I have personally touched a few things in the Bugby game. One of the bigger things I worked on was the Diving functionality and the ragdolling with that. For a while, A big issue with trying to have ragdolling in our game was that we want to go for an online game and having the players ragdoll around freely would desync the player from the server creating a whole bunch of fun issues. While this may have been fun to look at, it wasn’t really a great experience to play. We figured out a fix so that we can continue having fun with broken goblin bones with friends. Another core mechanic I played with was passing to teammates. It was important that when searching for teammates in code, we thought about how we would impact performance. If we did it anyway we wanted, the game might run at low fps which isn’t fun for anybody.
